Eggman and Jim are noticeably absent through most of the season until the final three episodes, then they form as Those Two Guys.Soniqua still serves as the Team Pet for Sonic.Gilius becomes The Lancer for Sonic due to Tails becoming the Arc Villain of the season.Sonic still gets a few guys to help him though. Season 4 is unique in that the main team has disbanded.The Sixth Ranger: Gilius and Kirby, their most frequently recurring allies.The Drag-Along: Earthworm Jim, who really doesn't want anything to do with these three.Though he's more of a Ditzy Genius than a straight-up smart guy. The Smart Guy: Eggman, who frequently creates the team's gadgets.The Lancer: Tails, who frequently acts as Sonic's right-hand man.The Leader: Sonic, though rarely is he actually a good leader.The Team: It takes a while for it to be established, the main "team" is formed in the Season 2 finale consisting of:.Failure Is the Only Option: Whenever they become successful, expect them to eventually lose.Opting instead to party at Dead or Alive and eventually opening up their own business there. In season 7, Eggman and Jim ditch Sonic and Tails' quest to find the creator.They come back together near the end of the season but it’s not until “Joust” where they finally act as a group again. Sonic is back to doing odd jobs due to being broke again, Tails is now rich and famous (and also the Arc Villain of the season), while Eggman and Jim are partying it up in Contra. Breaking the Fellowship: The majority of Season 4 has Sonic, Tails, Eggman, and Jim split up.Amusing Injuries/ Butt Monkeys: They all suffer through humiliating and painful situations.Adaptational Jerkass: None of them have the heroic traits of their canon videogame counterparts.Not Pictured: Knuckles, Gilius Thunderhead, Kirby, Mother Brain, Soniqua & Link.
